The plane uses a piston engine rather than a large-scale turbine jets, allowing it to travel unaffected through the ash, unlike large commercial jets.

Because of its excellent part load efficiency, many compressor unit is used mainly in the occasions for large displacement in high pressure piston compressor applications.

It features a large 50mm piston and a Kashima Coat treatment on the shock internals to help maintain a plush feel throughout the toughest motos.
