Methods Through constructing genograms with 27 adolescent clients diagnosed as depression for the first time, the genograms were explained and analyzed on system theory Angle.

These genograms are improved by adding information such as age, occupation, marital status and as well as the mutual relations of family members and the function of their roles.

Results it was mentioned in the genograms of 27 clients that the most of these adolescent patients with depression had imbalance of family structure and unsoundness of family function.
