The mass transfer equation was introduced into heattransfer model of falling film evaporation. The radial velocity, mass diffusion coefficient and variation of film thickness were taken into account.
The results showed that compared to conventional smooth segment baffle heat exchanger, the plate heat exchanger(PHE) can effectively strengthen the filmheattransfercoefficient of the shell side.
