Once heated up to its operating temperature, the battery generates enough heat on its own to keep the liquids molten.

The builders didn't mention the battery life, and there's no doubt in my mind that heat will be be an issue as well.

As long as the heat emitted by the battery does not melt the PCM completely, the system is stable.
