In 1928 he made "Film Study" (a Man Ray-ish exercise in which images of circles dissolve into eyeballs), "Ghosts Before Breakfast" (a daffy comedy reliant on special effects, such as hats that fly and garden hoses that come "alive, " accompanied by a Paul Hindemith score), and "Inflation" (a political satire about the German economic ravages of the day).
