In view of maneuvering target tracking in cluttered environment, this paper reviews two existing gating techniques, namely, Model Based gating (MBG) and Centralized gating (CG).

This method is oriented to theoretical prediction of the quasi-straight- forward propagating photons. It will provide solid basis for systematic investigation of time-gating imaging techniques.

In this paper, water has been used to simulate the bottom-sides gating system of the large hydro-turbine blades by means of high-speed and continuous photographic techniques.
