For Parties to the Protocol of 1976 to that Convention, the term shall be deemed to include the 1971 Fund Convention as amended by that Protocol.

Through the analysis of all the above, the author points out the defects of the existing system of compensation for oil pollution damage in China and suggests accession to the Fund Convention of 1971.

The unit of account referred to in article 6 of this Convention is the Special Drawing Right as defined by the International Monetary Fund.
