The scratch resistance of tinplate was measured by using modified QHQ type pencil hardness test apparatus which is designed for organic paint coating.

The result showed that when photo-initiator 184 and photo-initiator 1173 were mixed 2:1 by mass, the coating has high pencil hardness and excellent abrasion resistance.

The latex with higher core T_g has more obvious core-shell structure, and the pencil hardness of the film is higher.
