Here the aft hullbottom looks a bit worse for wear, regardless of the looks the repairing epoxy has seeped into all the cracks resulting in a sound structure.
Unlike ordinary monohull, trimaran slamming includes not only main hullbottom slamming, but also slamming of trimaran cross structure, which makes trimaran slamming more complicated.
They did find some major holes in the hull, but it's not clear if they're what sank the Hunley, or if they're the product of a century and a half of degradation at the bottom of the sea.
