This paper introduced the design and development of a virtual frequency sweeper based on DDS technology. The DDS technology and the method to design the frequency sweeping generator were illustrated.

The properties of domestic high-frequency broadband sweeper, for instance, the dynamic range, logarithmic accuracy, flatness and log linear, still need to be improved.
