The helium mass spectrometer leak detecting technology for a large vacuum chamber with the complex construction is described. Some problems in operation are shown and analyzed.

Abstract: Helium mass spectrometer sniffing probe method is widely used in the process of the single point leak testing on the spacecraft.
In order to gain the real leak rate under simulating operating conditions, using the pressurized leak detection method of helium mass spectrometer leak detector, the accurate data are obtained.
