The effects of electron-electron interaction on dimerization in nanographite ribbons are investigated.

The effect of electron interaction on gain of a free-electron laser pumped with a helical magnetic field is formulated.

Discussions have been made on the above results in consideration with the coupling between layers and phonon-electron interaction.
