Abstract The physical and chemical characteristics of the Electro Chemical Machining(ECM) by higher frequency, short pulses current are investigated, also its affection on the effects of ECM.

The result shows that the application of electro chemical machining can obtain the cladding which bonds well with matrix and meets the requirement for the mould for the forming of floor board;
