When wheels are being driven directly by electric motors, different levels of torque can be applied to improve stability on corners.

Unlike internal-combustion engines, electric motors have full torque, as pulling-power is called, from zero revs. They are thus predisposed to go like a bat out of hell without the aid of a gearbox.

The British company’s experimental Evora 414E uses two electric motors, each providing 400Nm of torque.
