This paper reports that we realize large delay slow light using our fabricated small core high nonlinear photonic crystal fiber (PCF) based on the stimulated Brillouin scattering.

The possibility of controlling the slow light using temperature is demonstrated theoretically and experimentally. The curve of temperature coefficient around Brillouin gain peak is also presented.
The result shows that the frequency shift of Brillouin scattering light is scarcely influenced by air pressure and vapor pressure, and greatly affected by air temperature.
