Bank erosion is a type of land erosion. It can be divided into bank toppling and landslide erosion, bank subsidence erosion, bank gully erosion and bank flooderosion.
This paper divided this region into 4 geomorphological belts:the flooderosion belt, groundwater spill belt, delta belt and the joining belt of piedmont plain and the Tarim floodplain.
