In view of the problem of slag bonding of pulverized coal heating furnace, the paper analyzed the formation of slag deposits and discussed the measure of preventing and reducing slag deposits.

Based on the calculated results and the analysis of slagging conditions, he possibility of slag formation is predicted.

By means of thermodynamic principle the deoxidation power of several ferro-alloys has been calculated, and the conditions of the molten slag formation from deoxidation products has also been analysed.
