The study aimed to establish the rapid analysis method to determine water in tobacco essence by Karl Fischer method.

It is an alternative to traditional Karl-Fischer method. It is widely used in electric power, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, pesticide, paint, resin and other industries and institutions.

Determination of free water for compound fertilizers is usually applied Karl Fischer method or vacuum oven method, a different extraction solvent can selected as Karl Frscher method is applied.
