释义 | Usage The European Community (EC) was formed in 1967 from the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), the European Economic Community (EEC), and the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom). The name ‘European Communities’ is used in legal contexts where the three distinct organizations are recognized. The name ‘European Economic Community’ (EEC) is sometimes used loosely for the merged organization. In November 1993 the EC became known as the European Union (EU). |
