attributiveTrained or administered according to the principles of child care and nutrition advocated by the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children (the Plunket Society)
The Plunket Society began in Dunedin, as did Karitane nursing, teacher education, tertiary education itself, and much besides.
Though he lived long enough to see a new Karitane hospital and factory opened at Melrose, he was bankrupt when he died.
A lot of responsibility was put on young shoulders, and much was expected of Karitane nurses that was not in their training manual.
Other short term groups, such as the group for Chinese families who have children with a disability and Bankstown Twins group, have been developed by Karitane to meet local needs.
This system collects data regarding the calls made to the Karitane Careline.
