The Dymoke family has held the office Champion of England (or King's or Queen's champion) since the coronation of Richard II in 1377.
The Queen's champion must embody honesty, bravery, courage, wit, honor and intellect.
The Kings Champion Saddle is held on loan in Saddlers' Hall due to the generosity of the present Queen's Champion, Lt Col J L M Dymoke OBE DL, Lord of the Manor of Scrivelsby.
