Her best-known novels are The Pursuit of Love and Love in a Cold Climate. She and her sisters were known as the Mitford girls, and they belonged to a well-known English upper-class family. Two of the sisters, Diana and Unity, became involved in right-wing politics. They greatly admired Adolf Hitler, and Diana married the British fascist leader Oswald Mosley. |
