Glenn HoddleHod·dle, Glenn /ˈhɒdl $ ˈhɑː-/ (1957–) a British football player who played for Tottenham Hotspur, AS Monaco, Swindon Town, and Chelsea. He also played for the English national team, and was the manager of the team during the 1998 World Cup. In 1999 he had to leave his job as England manager after saying that disabled people might be paying for sins they had committed (commit) in a previous life. He has also been a manager for Swindon Town, Chelsea, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
